Latest Stuff

I squeezed in a quick look at Maer Rocks first thing this morning before work, recording 3 Grey Wagtail, 1 Yellow Wagtail, 3 Turnstone and 1 Kingfisher. There were several Yellow Wagtails calling overhead as I did a quick scan of the estuary from the Imperial, but the only other birds to make the notebook were 3 Mediterranean Gulls and 2 Dunlin.
An equally quick look on Orcombe, late this afternoon, produced 5 Wheatear, 6+ Yellow Wagtail, 1 Tree Pipit and c5+ Chiffchaff, but I got the sense there were far fewer birds around than the last couple of days.
Early yesterday morning, from 0600 - 0700, I did the usual Orcombe circuit noting 4+ Siskin, 6+ Tree Pipit, 1+ Yellow Wagtail, 1+ Grey Wagtail, 1 Kestrel, 9+ Wheatear, 2 Whitethroat, 2+ Willow Warbler, 3+ Chiffchaff, 1 Curlew, 1 Sparrowhawk and 2 'Alba' Wagtail.
There were 53 Wigeon and 3 Knot off Mudbank.

Cydia Microgrammana? - it looks like this species to me but according to the literature its over a month too late to be on the wing so it's probably something else. Anyone any ideas?
